Day 2 Ecuador - Saturday June 7, 2014 - The Market

We spent our first morning in Ecuador exploring the market. The Otavalo Market is set up every day in the town's square, but on Saturdays it extends down side streets in every direction. There was so much to take in, textiles, jewelry, musical instruments, paintings, and all kinds of food. I stayed close to Bethany to make sure I had a translator with me and fortunately she knew a great little spot for coffee. We walked by another square to check out a band that was playing on a stage for a crowd that had gathered, and walked by a beautiful church where a wedding had just taken place and saw the couple come out in joyous tears. The team tried some "spiky red fruit" as we called it, and it was delicious. What a fun way to start getting to know the area!
