I safely arrived in Atlanta and met team member Kevin while other team members arrived late due to flight delays. We didn't see the rest of the team board, and I waited for team member Kendra who had been delayed from Washington D.C. - we were the last two passengers to board the flight. I'm thankful we all made it!

We arrived in Quito, Ecuador where I finally met the rest of the team as we waited in line for customs. To my surprise, a statue of Super Mario welcomed us to Ecuador at the baggage claim! Of all the ways Ecuador could welcome guests to their country, Maya's all time favorite character was there - which I took as an affirmation of God's comfort and presence. Our hosts met us and drove us north to their home in Otavalo. We arrived there at 3:00 a.m. local time (4:00 a.m. Cleveland time).
